Architeuthis hartingii

Often a name referring to the largest type of squid known to exist, but never seen. Unbeknown, or perhaps intentionally dismissed, to the scientific community, is a massive creature of oceanic dominion, instated by the demon god Nekrakhon. Unlike its four armed overlord, it remained on Earth swarming the seas. Its demonic influence fueled the British and Japanese Empires, but since has remained silent, aware that it is alone in the vast existence in the cosmos. when the the "Trieste" went down into Challenger deep in 1960, photographs were taken of it, but were confiscated upon return to the surface.
